Rhonda Vincent Biography: Rhonda Vincent was born in 1962 in Missouri and began playing music with her family when she was just a child. As a young girl, she started learning mandolin and fiddle. Several years later, she appeared on TNN's
You Can Be a Star, and then set out to make it on her own. After attempting to crossover into contemporary country, Vincent went back to her roots with an album called
Back Home Again (Rounder, 2000).
She's received dozens IBMA and SPBGMA awards and nominations through the years, including Entertainer of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year. Since recording her first single at the age of eight, Vincent has recorded 24 albums, worked with Dolly Parton, George Jones, Faith Hill and others, received over 40 awards, and was dubbed "The New Queen of Bluegrass" by the Wall Street Journal.
