Curtis & Erelli Wrote the Best Song in the World

Tuesday April 4, 2006
Boston-based folksinger Catie Curtis and her collaborator Mark Erelli have been announced the winners of the International Songwriting Contest. The ISC is held each year, and attracts over 15,000 submissions from around the world. Curtis & Erelli's little masterpiece is called "People Look Around," and addresses the impact of Hurricane Katrina. Also known as the rain song or the truth song, the lyrics to "People Look Around" raise questions about the larger issues surrounding the hurricane's aftermath. Between them, Curtis and Erelli have released 12 CDs, and have as many years of touring and performing under their belts.

Probably the best place to get a copy of the song is at Catie Curtis’ Web site.
