Bowery Songs was recorded in November, 2004, at New York's Bowery Ballroom. On it, she sings old favorites and some newer tunes. Among her covers are songs by Bob Dylan, Natalie Merchant, Steve Earle, Greg Brown, and Woody Guthrie (including her first live release of old favorite "Deportee").
This CD will also feature Joan's adaptations and original arrangements of traditional Folk songs like "Jackaroe" and "Silver Dagger."
