Joni Mitchell has often referred to herself as more of a painter than a songwriter, and her album covers through the years have reflected her natural penchant for visual art. Many of them feature Joni's self-portraits, but on The Hissing of Summer Lawns, Joni went with an image that didn't even show her face. Although many of her self-portraits are fantastic, this album stands out in my mind.
Joni Mitchell's eighth release, The Hising of Summer Lawns features one of the most unique album covers from her entire discography.
