New York City-based Folk Duo Crescent & Frost

Based in New York, Crescent & Frost began in 2002, based on Fennimore and Marcus' original songs. As a duo, they began attracting attention from some of New York's top clubs and musicians from all over.

Fennimore was born in Brooklyn and raised in Pittsburgh. She studied Illustration at the University of Rhode Island before moving back to Brooklyn. Marcus holds a music degree from the University of Michigan, as well as a master's degree in jazz music from the California Institute of Arts.

Guitarist Rich Hinman has also worked with artists like Erin McKeown and Warren James, while bassist Jason Mercer has toured with Ani Difranco, Ron Sexsmith, Sarah Harmer, and others.

Together, Crescent & Frost blend into a sweet mix of cool, chilled-out roots, folk, and americana. The band will be hitting the road in summer 2006 in support of their new album Open Doors. Keep an eye on their Web site for upcoming tour dates and other info.
