Seattle-Based Bluegrassers Captain Gravel

Miller McNay - mandolin, vocals
Michael Connolly - fiddle, vocals

Sure, Seattle-based bluegrassers Captain Gravel look like just another bluegrass band. But then the set gets howlin' and you realise you're experiencing Dixieland jazz, americana instrumentals, foot stomping fidlde tunes, or any of the band's ripping originals. Their repertoire spans originals and old time cover tunes.
Captain Gravel has quickly become one of Seattle's best kept bluegrass secrets. Their fierce picking and fun-time performances have taken them into some of the Northwest's best venues, incluing Paramount Theatre and Seattle's Town Hall, as well as festivals like NW Folklife Festival, the Fremont Fair, and the Oregon State Bluegrass Festival (where they received last year's first standing ovation).
With their first full-length record in the works, Captain Gravel is planning a return to the Paramount Theatre, as well as numerous festivals and other shows around the Pacific Northwest.
