Randy Kohrs started experimenting on acoustic guitar when he was just eight years old. Since then, though, he managed to pick up the dobro and become one of the best dobro pickers in the country. He's also mastered several other instruments, including mandolin and Hawaiian slide guitar, but it was the dobro he was playing this weekend at Wintergrass.

Now on Lonesome Day Records, Randy recorded I'm Torn in 2004, which included a duet with Dolly Parton. He's recently formed his hot new band The Lites, and is touring the country.

There was quite a buzz circulating the festival about Randy's band, and several people insisted they were one of the bands not to be missed.
