Del McCoury Band

Del McCoury has been performing in bluegrass nearly since its inception. As one of the original members of Bill Monroe's Bluegrass Boys, Del has seen trend upon trend come and go in the bluegrass scene, but has always stayed true to the old school.

His performance on Saturday evening at the Gibson Church was no exception. The way he, his sons, and the rest of the band move around the stage is so smooth it's like a ballet. Their harmonies are tight as a whistle, and their songs are unforgettable.

The audience was disappointed to not get an encore, but there just wasn't enough time. Besides, Del and the boys were back a few hours later for another set on the Mainstage.
