Guide Review - Dale Ann Bradley - Catch Tomorrow
Most notable of Bradley's covers on the album is her "grassin' up" of "I Can't Stand The Rain," which starts off sounding not too different from the original ... until the "breakdown," that is, which turns the song into a serious bluegrass shake-down, complete with five-string banjo and a killer fiddle solo from Michael Cleveland.
Nonetheless, the most stand-out numbers on the record are the songs that Dale Ann wrote or arranged herself. "Run Rufus Run" is a fierce, down-home-style bluegrass tune, and Bradley's skills as a songwriter shine here.
Thanks to her impeccable taste in songs to cover and her impressive skills as a songwriter and musician, Catch Tomorrow is a bright, bright moment for Dale Ann Bradley.
