How can anything bad be said about a weekend that included performances from Mindy Smith, Amos Lee, Sonya Kitchell, Jeff Tweedy, Kris Kristofferson, Martin Sexton, Ani Difranco, Katherine Harris, Issa and Blue Rodeo? The weather was beautiful (aside from a kiss of rain), the music was impressive and unstoppable, and the fine folks at first aide did an excellent job supplying me with bandaids after my river accident.

Continuing on my theme of folk festivals I went to for the first time in 2006, Colorado's Rocky Mountain Folks Festival was a great time all around. Sure, I wiped out in the river and knocked my head on a giant rock, but that didn't stop me from running back and forth from stage to stage, capturing the folk music goodness so I could report back via About.com.
