Loudon Wainwright III Biography:
Loudon Wainwright was born in September, 1946, in Chapel Hill, NC. He grew up in New York, just outside of New York City. He grew up playing guitar, but didn't start writing songs until he began working in a boat yard in the 1960s. He released his debut album on Atlantic Records in 1970, and was widely touted as the next Bob Dylan.In addition to his music career, Wainwright has acted in M*A*S*H and contributed to the soundtrack for the film Knocked Up. Through the years, he has released 23 albums in all, has appeared in 11 movies, and has been nominated for two Grammy Awards.
