With members whose backgrounds range from folk to punk to country music, Or, the Whale's genre-defying music is the very picture of American music. Hailing from the vibrant San Francisco music scene, it's no surprise this band represents such melting pot of musical styles. They released their full-length debut on Seany Records in January 2009 and have since become a favorite up-and-coming band in indie-folk circles.
