Mountain Goats Biography:

The Mountain Goats, as a band, began when John Darnielle started recording his literate, loquacious songs in a very lo-fi manner in 1991. Through the years, Darnielle acquired and lost several bandmates (see above) before settling on simply a bass player, with whom he's toured since 1995. In all, the Mountain Goats have recorded more than a dozen albums, and continues to tour extensively.
