James Nash: lead guitar, mandolin, vocals
Born and raised in Nashville, James began playing guitar at the age of 9. At 18, he moved to San Francisco to study at Stanford University, and quickly became a fixture in the band Occam's Razor. After leaving that band, he traveled around to bluegrass festivals before joining the Waybacks. He continues to perform his solo work, as well as lending his talents to several Bay area bands.

Stevie Coyle: rhythm guitar, lap steel, vocals
Stevie taught himself how to fingerpick guitar when he was touring with the Royal Lichtenstein Circus. In addition to his time with the Waybacks, he's performed as an actor on stage and in various TV commercials. Stevie is also a founding member of the Foremen.

Joe Kyle, Jr.: upright bass, vocals
Born in Washington, DC, Joe purchased his first double bass in 1990. Since then, he's become a highly demanded player in the San Francisco area music scene. In addition to the Waybacks, he also frequently plays with the Hot Club of San Francisco, Trailer Park Rangers, and others.

Chuck Hamilton: drums, percussion
Originally from Montana, Chuck has tried his hand in several forms of music, including sacred orchestral works, the blues, rock, and of course bluegrass. He joined the Waybacks in 2001, but has also appeared with the Lost Highway Band, Lucky Fingers, and many more.

Warren Hood: fiddle, mandolin, vocals
Warren made his performance debut when he was just 12 years old in Austin, Texas. Since then, he's played with Lyle Lovett, Kelly Willis, Stephen Tyler, and many more. He graduated from the Berklee College of Music in 2004.
