Jolie Holland Biography:

Jolie Holland was born and raised in Texas and developed an affinity for music early on. By the time she was a teenager, she was proficient at several instruments. After a brief time living in San Francisco, she moved to Vancouver, B.C., where she started the Be Good Tanyas. After the Tanyas recorded their debut album Blue Horse in 2001, Holland embarked on a solo career. She signed with Anti- Records in 2003 and has since released three full-length solo albums.
