The Hackensaw Boys began as a troupe of street performers in Charlottsville, Va., in 1999. What began as a 12-piece band, though, has slowly whittled down to six full-throttle bluegrass/old time/punk rock players.Over the course of their nine-year career, the Hackensaws have clocked endless hours on tour, including festival performances at Pickathon, GrassRoots Festival, and Telluride Bluegrass Festival, among countless others around the world. They've released six albums in all, and are currently recording on Nettwerk Records.
