Gregory Alan Isakov Biography:

Gregory Alan Isakov was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and raised in Philadelphia. He now lives in Boulder, Colo., and tours both solo and with his band the Freight.

In 2007, he won the Telluride Troubador Songwriting Competition and the Denver Westword critics' award for Best Singer-Songwriter. Isakov has opened for artists like Ani DiFranco and Rodrigo y Gabriela, and has appeared at numerous large festivals like South by Southwest, Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, and the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival.
