Great Lake Swimmers are part of a new movement of folk-rock groups that marry influences from contemporary indie rock with those of melodically harmony-infused bands of the late-60s folk-rock movement. Fans of the Byrds, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and Fleetwood Mac may enjoy the Great Lake Swimmers. More recent artists whose work is similar include Fleet Foxes, Bonnie "Prince" Billy, and Iron and Wine.

Great Lake Swimmers Biography:

Great Lake Swimmers is a band from Toronto, Canada, and the creative brainchild of singer-songwriter Tony Dekker. Dekker has spent seven years performing his songs with various backing line-ups. With four albums under their belt, Dekker, his long-time collaborator Erik Arnesen, and the Great Lake Swimmers have begun to attract the attention of international critics and fans. They've toured with Feist, Sparrow Quartet, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, and several other notable artists.
