Eilen Jewell Biography:

Eilen Jewell was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. She started playing piano as a child and migrated to guitar in her teens. She went to college in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she began playing small local gigs as a singer-songwriter. After a brief time living in Los Angeles, she moved to Boston and started forging her way in the New England singer-songwriter scene. She self-released her debut album in 2006, which attracted Massachusettes-based label Signature Sounds, who released the follow-up a year later. Her third album is due on Signature Sounds in April 2009.
