Last year, Lake Street Dive burst on the scene out of Brooklyn, bringing with them a certain swinging vibe to the indie roots, folk, and Americana worlds. Their lead singer Rachel Price is one of the most nuanced and gifted vocalists to have come out of Brooklyn's roots music scene in some time, and she's backed by a trio of musicians who are tight, intuitive, and - it often seems - working toward a whole new sound.
Now, Lake Street Dive has joined up with jamgrass outfit Yonder Mountain Stringband for a winter tour of the eastern half of the US. (Can we call Wisconsin for the Eastern half?) Regardless, if you're in one of these cities, you won't want to miss out:
Jan 24 & 25 - Asheville, NC - The Orange Peel
Jan 26 - Atlanta, GA - The Tabernacle
Jan 29 - Charleston, SC - Music Farm
Jan 30 - Winston-Salem, NC - Ziggy's
Jan 31 - Covington, KY - Madison Theater
Feb 1 - Columbus, OH - LC Pavilllion
Feb 2 - Madison, WI - Orpheum Theater
