We're getting ever closer and closer to Woody Guthrie's 100th birthday, and the music world is buzzing in a number of different ways. If you happen to be in New York City on July 11, you can hit what's looking like one of the best music festivals of the summer, and it's in Woody's honor. Folks like Steve Earle, Billy Bragg, Tim Robbins, and many more will be on hand to deliver his music at WoodyFest.
This comes one day after acclaimed children's folksinger Elizabeth Mitchell releases an album on Smithsonian Folkways titled Little Seed: Songs for Children by Woody Guthrie.
