I only went to Lilith Fair once - the opening year. I remember the show distinctly, and recall enjoying performances from Jewel, Fiona Apple, and Susannah Hoffs. It wasn't a particularly folk or Americana-friendly festival, but it would seem the folks behind the women-centric tour's resurrection have since developed an affinity for folk and roots-oriented artists.
So far, the line-up for 2010 includes giants like Emmylou Harris, newer artists like Brandi Carlile, and mainstream-palatable folk-influenced artists like the Indigo Girls and Sheryl Crow. While it would be great to see artists like BettySoo, Edie Carey, Meg Hutchinson, and Erin McKeown, I'll take Lilith Fair's gesture toward the folk and Americana genres. Cities slated to welcome the traveling festival in 2010 are Atlanta, New York, Dallas, Seattle, Portland, Denver, San Francisco, Montreal and London.

Wow, with Emmylou, the Indigo girls and Sheryl Crow, that’d be great! Everything else would be gravy!!! But I don’t see any MIDWEST cities mentioned… Milwaukee, Chicago, maybe???
