Best Folk Songs of 2008...So Far

Now that we're more than halfway through the year, I've updated my list of the best folk songs of the year. Contrary to what some may think, folk songs aren't always the songs that were written long before you were born. Folk music is always growing, evolving, and progressing as we—"the folk"—grow, change, and progress. If you're looking for some of the old timey stuff, check out All About Old Time Music.
