Profile: Asylum Street Spankers

It's hard for me to think of Asylum Street Spankers as an up-and-coming band, simply because they've been around for so long. But, since they just passed through my hometown on tour, I've come to realize that what I know well doesn't always equate to what other people know well.
If you're into Johnny Cash and Tom Waits, if you like songs about booze, anti-war songs, snarky heartbreak tunes with washboard solos and punk-rock ukulele players, this is probably going to be your new favorite band.
