I knew Alison Krauss was the Grammy-winning-est woman in the music industry, but it wasn't until I received a review copy of her newest CD Raising Sand (a collaboration with Robert Plant) that I realized she's won 20 Grammys. 20! One for every single year since she signed with Rounder Records at age 13. That's crazy, but it's also well-deserved. She's worked with everyone under the sun and has become one of the most talented collaborators—expanding her own musical capabilities even as she expands those with whom she collaborates.

Latest in the ongoing Krauss-and-rock-star collaborations (earlier this year, she appeared with Heart frontwoman Ann Wilson on her debut solo CD Hope and Glory) is this dual effort with hard rocker Robert Plant. The disc isn't due out until Tuesday, Oct. 23, but take a sneak peek and get ready for what is, of course, one of the best records this year.
