Artist Profile: John Prine

Singer/Songwriter John Prine is often hailed as one of the most influential songwriters in contemporary folk music. When he released his self-titled debut in 1971, he was often referred to as "the next Dylan." To date, Prine has received Grammy Awards and Americana Music Association awards, and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1993.
