IBMA Announces Award Nominees

The International Bluegrass Music Association announced its nominees for the 2006 IBMA Awards yesterday. Alison Krauss & Union Station came away with a whopping eleven nominations – including individual nods for each member of the band. Blue Highway received the second highest number of nominations with acknowlegement in ten categories. Rhonda Vincent & The Rage garnered six nominations, and last year's emerging artist of the year, Cherryholmes, received five nominations.

The IBMA Awards will be presented at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tenn., on September 28, 2006. For a full list of nominees, check out the IBMA Web site.
