Now Playing: Pete Seeger "Vintage" Interview

Pete Seeger is one of the most loved and most prolific folk singer/songwriters of the last hundred years. In honor of his 87th birthday, all kinds of things have been taking place, including the recent release of a tribute album by Bruce Springsteen.

Since Pete is rarely giving interviews these days, in honor of his birthday and his living, persistent legacy, I thought I'd share this fabulous interview that NPR is re-airing on their Web site. The interview is prefaced by a wonderful concise history of Seeger's career, and features Pete's stories about Woody Guthrie and his time as a member of The Weavers.
