Falcon Ridge's New Home, and Other Festival News

Wednesday May 3, 2006
After over 25 years of fabulous festivals at the Brennans at Long Hill Farm, the beloved Falcon Ridge Folk Festival will take place at a new location this year. Dodd's Farm looks equally as fabulous in photos, and directions to the new farm are available at the Falcon Ridge Web site.

Long-time Falcon Ridge festivarians will certainly not be disappointed with this year's schedule, however, which includes Dan Bern, disappear fear, Eliza Gilkyson, Shawn Colvin, and Susan Werner. There will be plenty of FRFF staples like John Gorka, Eddie From Ohio, Nerissa & Katrina Nields, Tracy Grammer, and more.

Clearwater Festival
In related news, Pete Seeger's Clearwater Festival (aka the Great Hudson River Revival), now in its 40th year, will be welcoming a rather incredible line-up of its own. Michelle Shocked, Janis Ian, Dan Bern, Holly Near, John Gorka, and others will be gracing the stages at this environmentally friendly festival.

Rocky Mountain
Heading west, the Rocky Mountain Folks Fest keeps adding great performers to the roster, which already includes Amos Lee, the Waifs, Ani DiFranco, and Martin Sexton. New additions include Sonya Kitchell and Jane Siberry.

Edmonton Folk Music Festival
Finally, the Edmonton Folk Festival is boasting an enticing line-up this year, as well. Greg Brown, Ricky Skaggs, Dirk Powell Band, Bruce Cockburn, and many more will be heading up to Alberta this August.
