Ramblin' Jack Returns to Stand Alone
Tuesday May 2, 2006
Ramblin' Jack Elliot will release his first album in ten years on June 20. The album, entitled I Stand Alone (Anti), is described by his record company as, "a full deck of titles characterized by a wild mixture of graphic imagery, old sentiment, and Americana tradition." I Stand Alone will feature guest appearances by Lucinda Williams, David Hidalgo, and Flea of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, among others.
Consummate teller of tales, finder of songs, and singer of stories, Ramblin' Jack was one of Woody Guthrie's most dedicated proteges, and has become somewhat of an American legend.
