Wintergrass Wraps Up Successful Weekend

It was a big year for the folks at Wintergrass. After all - their little festival just won an award from the IBMA for the Bluegrass Event of the Year for 2005. It almost goes without saying that the 2006 event lived up to every expectation.

There were incredible performances from The Grascals, Del McCoury Band, Laurie Lewis, and Uncle Earl. We were also introduced to some truly fantastic lesser-known groups like The Wilders, Prairie Flyer, and The Duhks. There were jam sessions that started Saturday and went until sunrise Sunday morning; and there were wonderful workshops on everything from flat-picking to overcoming stage fright. There was even a clogging workshop taught by Uncle Earl's Kristin Andreassen.
