Best of 2005
It's that time of year again - when everyone sets out on the day after Thanksgiving to consume, consume, consume the day away! Of course, the objective is to get a head start on that pressing holiday gift-buying season that'll keep us all an inch from our credit limits for the next month or so until baby New Year comes in with his usual elan.
So it only makes sense that your Folk Music Guide should give you a little assistance in your quest to put the biggest smile possible on the face of your favorite Folk fan. Because I aim to please, I went ahead and amassed a list of the best Folk releases of 2005, which includes Dar Williams' latest release, the work of November's Artist of the Month (Uncle Earl), and the newest effort from British singer/songwriter Kate Rusby. Not to mention great stuff from Tim O'Brien, Bob Dylan, and many more. (image: Tim O'Brien Fiddler's Green (Sugar Hill/Howdy Skies, 2005)
